Atlanta, GA. April 25, 2017 – Peachtree BioResearch Solutions, a clinical research organization, is pleased to announce the continued growth of its clinical operations team with several recent additions.
Charles Romano, Vice President of Clinical Operations – Since the inception of Peachtree, “Charlie” has been a key resource in providing operational and project management expertise and strategic direction. Charlie has over 25 years of patient-care and international clinical research experience in project management, monitoring, and outsourcing in Phase I-IV pharmaceutical and biologic trials across numerous therapeutic areas.
In his role at Peachtree, Charlie directs all clinical operations activities – project management, clinical monitoring, biometrics, medical writing, and partner support. His philosophy of “leading from the front” and “planning with the end in mind” creates proactive project teams that prevent and solve study issues – not create problems requiring Sponsor solutions.
Charlie has served as a subject matter expert on numerous panels at industry conferences and symposia on topics such as subject protection, EDC, and document integrity. He received his BS in Biology from SUNY, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health from Liberty University.
Mary Leone, Director, Clinical Operations/Senior Clinical Project Manager – Mary brings over 25 years of clinical development expertise to Peachtree. Having built broad therapeutic experience as a CRA and Project Manager with companies such as Boots/Knoll Pharmaceuticals, Worldwide Clinical Trials, Ingenix, and PPD. Mary’s leadership will be invaluable as Peachtree continues to further expand its clinical operations team, and she will oversee the clinical monitoring teams for all clients. Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lousiana State University.
Joel Stephens, Senior Director, Technical Operations – Supporting the rapid expansion at Peachtree, Joel takes on the formable task of increasing the efficiency and managing of Peachtree’s technology systems. With roots in pharmaceutical analytical testing, Joel has developed expertise in data management and data systems over the past 20 years. With experience and increasing responsibilities in data management at companies such as Worldwide Clinical Trials and Atherogenics, Joel most recently provided consulting services with numerous pharmaceutical clients to evaluate, implement, and validate internal clinical data management systems. His expertise will be put to the test as Peachtree implements additional data and information systems to better serve the needs of its growing client roster. Joel received his BS in Biology from Furman University and his Masters in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University.
Barbara Etter, Project Manager – Barb brings 16+ years of data management experience to Peachtree having worked for Ingenix, UCB Pharma, and PRA International. In her role at Peachtree, she will oversee client database builds on internal and sponsor systems as well as serve at client point-of-contact for data management projects and as a member of full-service teams. Barb is a registered Nurse with a BS in Information Technology from Phoenix University.
Regina Cassidy, Associate Clinical Project Manager – Regina provides a breadth of patient-care and industry experience starting out as a medical sales representative and transitioning over to clinical development. During her nearly 20 years within the healthcare industry, she has taken on a number of roles within clinical development including project management, drug safety, and clinical monitoring with companies such as Otsuka, Boehringer-Ingelheim, SRA International, Aderans Research Institute, Covance, and Inventiv Health. At Peachtree, her multiple skills will be utilized across several client projects.
